Viridon is organized into several regional transmission companies, each one dedicated to serving the needs of a transmission system operator.
Viridon California (VCA)
Develops transmission projects, via its subsidiary CalGrid, for the benefit of the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) region.
Viridon New England (VNE)
Develops transmission projects for the benefit of the ISO New England (ISO-NE) region.
Viridon New York (VNY)
Develops transmission projects for the benefit of the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) region.

Ontario, Canada (IESO Region)
East West Tie Line
Completed in 2022, this project enabled the replacement of inefficient generation in Northwestern Ontario with cleaner and cheaper sources of power while enhancing reliability.
Nevada (CAISO Region)
Gridline West
GridLiance, a predecessor Blackstone portfolio company, partnered with a local cooperative utility in Nevada to acquire and upgrade their high voltage system.
Texas (ERCOT Region)
Lone Star Transmission
Completed in 2013 as part of a statewide buildout of the high voltage grid to accommodate the integration of 10,000 MW of wind energy.
California (CAISO Region)
Trans Bay Cable
Completed in 2010, this first-of-its-kind submarine project can deliver 400 MW from the East Bay to San Francisco, meeting 40% of the city’s peak electrical power needs while reducing energy costs and environmental impacts for California customers.
